Ingredients

  • 10 oz strip steak, sliced into thin strips
  • 1 packet taco seasoning (divided) or homemade
  • 2 limes
  • 3 tbsp olive oil (divided)
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow onion, sliced
  • Salt and pepper
  • 6 small tortillas

Instructions

    Mix half the taco seasoning with juice from 1 lime and 1 tbsp olive oil.

    Add steak to a zip bag with the marinade. Refrigerate 10 min to 3 hours.

    Heat a large skillet over medium-high for 2 minutes until very hot.

    Add 1 tbsp oil, peppers, onion, remaining taco seasoning, salt, and pepper.

    Cook 7-10 minutes until tender and slightly charred. Remove and set aside.

    Add 1 tbsp oil to the same skillet.

    Remove steak from marinade (discard marinade) and add to pan.

    Cook 5-7 minutes, flipping occasionally, to desired doneness.

    Serve with peppers, onions, lime wedges, and tortillas.

Homemade taco seasoning: 1 tsp chili powder, 1 tsp cumin, 1/4 tsp onion powder, 1/4 tsp oregano, 1/4 tsp paprika, 1/4 tsp salt.
